Coverage

Where Rowlett Roofworks covers, and where it stops

Ask Rowlett Roofworks about any street in town and it's covered, the Dallas County side and the Rockwall County side alike. Both sides sit inside the same roofing service areas, so the county line running through town changes nothing.

Two more springs from now the same hail will have crossed all of it, and the roofs still won't want the same work. A 1971 Kenwood Heights roof and a 2004 Waterview roof are held to one standard, which is not the same as handing them one script: one may be due a repair, the other a full replacement. One visit settles which of the two your house is.

Build year and home type are Census figures for one of the three ZIPs inside the city, and that area reaches a long way past any one street. The county split comes off the City of Rowlett's own mapping.

Storm record

What Dallas County weather does to roofs here

December 2015 is the storm this county still measures against. The tornado that crossed Sunnyvale, Garland and Rowlett was rated EF4 overall, and the National Weather Service survey put the EF4 damage in Garland and EF3 damage here in Rowlett. It remains the deadliest December tornado on the Dallas County record.

Twelve tornadoes touched down across North Texas that day, three of them EF-2 or stronger, and the damage ran to big limbs, metal buildings and roofs. Even past the rated track the wind ran 80 to 90 mph.

That's a county record though, not a reading of your street, and our roofers still get on yours before anyone says what it took.

Waterview About 470 acres that went up 1998 to 2004
Bayside The newest streets in the city, out on the water

Questions

Questions about coverage around Rowlett

What people ask when they're checking their own corner of Rowlett.

Q1Do you cover the Rockwall County side of Rowlett?
Yes. Rowlett crosses into Rockwall County on its east side, and Bayside is the one area sitting in both counties at once. Either side of that line makes no difference to the job.
Q2Are only the five neighborhoods listed here covered?
No, all of Rowlett is. Those five have their own pages because the houses in them went up in different decades and ask different things of a roof. The streets around Downtown Rowlett came in one house at a time, while Vue Du Lac went in between 1978 and 1982.
Q3Who comes out, and who do I end up dealing with?
Our roofers. Whoever already works your part of town is who comes out and writes the estimate, and that same roofer is the one on the roof if you go ahead with the work.
Q4Do you work past the Rowlett city limits?
Yes. Our roofers work the Dallas side of the metro, so an address just outside town counts the same as one inside it. That holds for storm work and for a roof going through an insurance claim.
